Individual Counseling
*Please note: I offer virtual sessions only.
Life can be hard and confusing. You can know that you would like things to be different in your life, but figuring out how to make those things happen can be puzzling and overwhelming. I work with individuals to help them determine what they would like to change in their lives, and we work together to come up with specific steps to make those changes a reality. It is a difficult task to make change on your own. People thrive mentally, emotionally and socially when they have a support system to encourage and help them. I am part of that support system for my clients. I am a person they can depend on for encouragement and insight. I help them to gain awareness and understanding about themselves, so that they feel more empowered about who they are and what they are able to achieve. I help my clients find ways to increase their own support system, so that they will go through life with more friends and family at their side.
I work with individuals who are hoping to:

Couples counseling
Relationships are rewarding and challenging. Our partners can be one of the most important people in our lives and can provide so much joy, comfort and support. Because partners are so important, they can also be a source of pain and sadness. As time goes by in relationships, life continues to happen, often providing stressors and complications in the relationship. Couples find ways to adapt to these challenges and sometimes find themselves caught in negative cycles, often without even realizing it. The connection that couples felt at the beginning seems to have diminished and to occur less frequently. Communication can decrease, fights can increase and each member of a couple can start to feel more distant and alone.
I work with couples who are hoping to:
Communicate more effectively
Increase connection with their partner
Delight in each other’s company
Parent as a team
Work together to better mental health issues
Better cope with life changes and stressors
Have a more enjoyable sex life
Break negative cycles and create new cycles that provide more peace and happiness in the relationship
I work from attachment-focused and EFT (Emotionally-Focused Therapy) perspectives to help support couples through the difficulties of relationships and work toward a place of safety, connection and happiness.

Family counseling
Families can be like a complex puzzle. Everyone influences each other and it can be difficult to know what to do to make things go smoothly. I work with families to help them identify the changes that need to be made in order to help them achieve the family dynamics they are hoping for. I have worked with parents and their pre-teen/teenagers for several years through an attachment lens. I help parents better connect with their children; be a source of safety and predictability for their children; and learn new ways of being a support to their children. I also help parents and teens learn skills that help with emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
I work with parents and families who are hoping to:
Have more peace and harmony in the home
Better regulate emotions in the family
Successfully manage transitions
Process traumas that affect family life
Create structure or routines that will reduce chaos
Increase communication and connection between parents and children
Feel more confident in parenting
